Couples Therapy

Healthy relationships are central to human health and happiness. My core goal is creating safety to explore. If you and your partner want to stay together, couples counseling is a great next step. Particularly the type I practice, which is called Emotionally Focused Therapy.

So What Is Emotionally Focused Therapy Like?

Research consistently shows that secure attachment and emotionally satisfying bonds are essential elements of mental and physical well-being. Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is uniquely capable of establishing and restoring supportive bonds among individuals, couples and families.

In short, EFT is designed up help you and your partner find out what patterns you both have that keep knocking you off track by talking thru typical ways you get into and out of conflicts. This lets us create safety and deepen the trust within the relationship.

We also work on creating space for both of your to express some real inner feelings that you may not even know about yet. The kind of stuff that is usually so internal you’d think “it goes without saying”. Most of the time your partner needs and wants to hear those things to better understand how to be close and safe with you.

Meet Grace

LCPC & EFT Specialist

I know it’s hard. We all struggle in different ways to live within systems and adapt to its demands. We long for unconditional love & acceptance and sometimes find ourselves reactive or stuck when it’s not there.

I specialized in working with couples therapy because it makes such a big difference so immediately. Most couples are surprised at how little real time was needed to start growing closer together again.

I look forward to meeting with you to find out if we are a good fit.
